A catalogue of eclipsing variables
A new catalogue of 6330 eclipsing variable stars is presented. Thecatalogue was developed from the General Catalogue of Variable Stars(GCVS) and its textual remarks by including recently publishedinformation about classification of 843 systems and making correspondingcorrections of GCVS data. The catalogue1 represents thelargest list of eclipsing binaries classified from observations.

The 74th Special Name-list of Variable Stars
We present the Name-list introducing GCVS names for 3153 variable starsdiscovered by the Hipparcos mission.

Vitesses radiales. Catalogue WEB: Wilson Evans Batten. Subtittle: Radial velocities: The Wilson-Evans-Batten catalogue.
We give a common version of the two catalogues of Mean Radial Velocitiesby Wilson (1963) and Evans (1978) to which we have added the catalogueof spectroscopic binary systems (Batten et al. 1989). For each star, when possible, we give: 1) an acronym to enter SIMBAD (Set ofIdentifications Measurements and Bibliography for Astronomical Data) ofthe CDS (Centre de Donnees Astronomiques de Strasbourg). 2) the numberHIC of the HIPPARCOS catalogue (Turon 1992). 3) the CCDM number(Catalogue des Composantes des etoiles Doubles et Multiples) byDommanget & Nys (1994). For the cluster stars, a precise study hasbeen done, on the identificator numbers. Numerous remarks point out theproblems we have had to deal with.

The New Primary Minimum of OW Gem

Radial-velocity measurements. V - Ground support of the HIPPARCOS satellite observation program
The paper presents data on 1070 radial velocity measurements of starsdistributed in 39 fields measuring 4 deg x 4 deg. The PPO series ofFehrenbach et al. (1987) and Duflot et al. (1990) is continued using theFehrenbach objective prism method.

A Possible Secondary Minimum of the Long Period Eclipsing Binary OW Gem (NSV 3005)
Photoelectric photometry of the 1258-day eclipsing binary OW Gem = NSV3005 during the 1988-89 season found the star constant at maximum exceptfor the interval JD 2447531-540, when it was almost 0.1 magnitudefainter. If the observed event was the secondary eclipse, the unseencompanion is a large cool star, probably a late-G to early-M giant, andthe orbit of the binary system is highly eccentric with secondaryminimum occurring at phase 0.23 of the photometric period.

Distance to the anti-center shell
High-resolution, high-sensitivity echelle spectra have been obtainedtowards early-type stars located within the boundaries of theAnti-Center Shell (ACS), an anomalous velocity H I structure in theanticenter region of the Galaxy. The observations indicate that theshell is certainly more distant than 500 pc, and quite possibly moredistant than 2500 pc. No anomalous velocity C II absorption featureswere detected. These results support the hypothesis that the ACS is theresult of collision of high-velocity clouds with the Galactic H I disk.

Catalog of O-B stars observed with Tokyo Meridian Circle
A catalog of the O-B stars, selected from 'Blaauw-Parenago' list andRubin's catalog, has been compiled on the FK4 system by the observationsmade with Gautier 8-inch Meridian Circle at the Tokyo AstronomicalObservatory during the period, 1971 to 1979. It contains 1059 stars andwas compiled for the future establishment of high precision propermotions of O-B stars.
