JHK photometry of 'unidentified' equatorial Infrared catalogue 1 sources Observations are made of 85 objects listed as unidentified in theequatorial Infrared Catalogue Number 1 (Sweeney et al., 1978). Theobservations are made in the JHK bands using a 1-m ground-basedtelescope. All of the sources are detected, and it is noted that many ofthem have (H-K) higher than those of interstellar reddened M8 giants andthat some of them have already been identified with variables. The dataavailable suggest that the sources with (H-K) excess may all bevariable. In addition, an attempt is made to identify all the 88'unidentified' sources on the Palomar Observatory Sky Survey prints. Ofthese, 85 are identified with optical objects. The magnitudes for theseare estimated in the photographic blue (P) and red (R) colors.
| Identification of Some of the Unidentified EIC-1 Sources We have identified 20 of the 75 unidentified Equatorial InfraredCatalogue Number-i sources with stars in the BD Catalogue. Two of theseare also found in the HD Catalogue
