A photometric study of the Algol system TW Draconis The reported study includes photoelectric observations of TW Dra with a40-cm reflector from observatories in Sicily and in West Germany. Thetotal number of observations include 422 observations on 147 nights inyellow and 381 observations on 141 nights in blue. The study had theobjective to obtain information for an investigation of certain openquestions regarding the Algol systems. Because of the presence of a gasstream, the rectification was performed as a short region rectification. In the obtained photometric solution, the systematic trends of theresiduals between observed and computed intensities are found to be evenlarger than the corresponding trends in the early solutions reported byBaglow (1952) and Horak (1966). These residuals can now be interpretedon the basis of the presence of a gas stream which transfers matter fromthe subgiant onto the bright massive component, where in the regions ofimpact of the particles hot spots are produced.
